Mischief and Magic

Mischief and Magic was our first project response to the difficulties faced in providing arts-in-health activities in care homes during the Covid19 pandemic.

Artist and founder Karyn Stavert and Artist Associate Emma Wass developed four weeks of creative activity and fun using downloadable resources and distanced support with residents from seven care homes. The aim was to enable them to explore, create and enjoy arts-led activity inspired by Shakespeare’s popular play Midsummer Nights Dream. The project was a welcome opportunity to connect residents, care staff and families, and to provide some light relief during a challenging period.

Participants created props, crafts and works of fiction!
