Our project, Memorial, Healing, and Hope, works with artists to explore creative responses and positive reflection to the title themes. Creative outcomes are generated to present and celebrate participant’s responses.
The project involves two artists, Emma Wass and Lytisha Tunbridge, delivering sessions using Zoom for participants living in four care homes across England. We are recording thoughts, memories, feelings, and creative responses, which will be coalesced into digital outcomes.
This project is in response to the COVID-19 crisis, which has affected care homes exceptionally hard. With the restrictions on visitors to care homes, there has been a shortage of stimulating activities with limited outside engagement. The funding for the project comes from Arts Council England’s Emergency Response Fund.
